I have launched my first-ever eBook.
It’s been a long time coming, but after weeks of toiling away, I’m pleased to present: The Art of Breaking Out: My NOW Manifesto.
Bomb diggity is right!
About my little eBook
My focus with The Art of Breaking Out was to speak to people with that urge to create and realize their dreams. It’s a manifesto for those good citizens who believe the power is within them, and are simply FED UP with that soul-crushing internal chatter.
It’s really a simple call-to-action and it’s for YOU.
As I state in the book:
You are unique. You are creative. You can make a difference.
You are not too young. You are not too old. And now IS the perfect time.
Sorry to go all Stuart Smalley on you, but it’s true!
I would also like to give a special shout out to John Falchetto for some very encouraging “nudges” along the way and Jason Konopinski for taking a look at the eBook before I released it.
One of my goals was to keep it under 40 pages (which I did), so it should be a very quick read.
You can get a copy by joining my growing community here or simply filling out the form on the right.
If you have already read this little composition, please share your thoughts in the comments below.
And feel free to share it on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or via email.
Or share your thoughts on twitter using the hashtag #theartofbreakingout
Again, this is a simple call-to-action and it’s for YOU. I hope you get something out of it and maybe decide to write your own.

The world’s less crowded when everybody fills their unique role in the world.
I think more people over time will realize that the winning strategy is to break out of the mold, blue ocean style, and give their best where they have their best to give in their own unique way.
Strategy skills teach us that shifting the mix of what and how we do things is ultimately the way to get off the hamster track and leapfrog on our own success path.
Hi J.D.
“The world’s less crowded when everybody fills their unique role in the world.”
–Love that!
Love what you wrote here, Sir, and couldn’t agree more. If you do get off the hamster wheel and break out in your own way, you do give back more, because there’s a certain freedom gained. You and the people around you are much better off!
Great comments! Thanks for stopping in.
WHOOOHOOOO! Way to go, Craig! (cue the party jams!)
I’ve just finished reading Manifesto, and let me just tell you, man – It is the Bomb Diggity!
You have certainly covered “The Art of Breaking Out” in an awesome collection of inspiring thoughts here, buddy! It was a great read, and totally got me motivated to change the world, in my own little way.
I’ve gotten the urge to create my own land of opportunity reading this powerful tool, that I’m certain will motivate others into action, as well.
A HUGE Congrats to you, sir! Thanks for sharing these wonderful insights with me, and encouraging everyone who will embark upon ‘breaking out’ in their own way, as well.
All the best to you on your new eBook.
Peace out!
Hi Deone,
On with the Jams, indeed!
And I greatly appreciate you giving the book your stamp of approval. Means a ton.
Like J.D. mentioned, getting off the hamster wheel and breaking out in your own way not only helps you, but it makes the world a better place. I truly believe that.
If it motivates a peep or two, I’ve done my job, right? Thanks for the kind words and inspiration!
Thank you, Sir.
Congratulations buddy!
How does it feel to ship?

Just read the book, Craig.
I haven’t learned a lot (You have a short book with no so many words, but the information is just vast – so much to learn
).
I love the simplicity of the book – just shows how you applied the concepts – don’t make it complicated, keep it simple.
I need to go over the book one (or maybe more) more time. I need to revisit and learn again.
Thanks for the inspirational book, Craig. Also loved the design of the book!

Craig,
Rampant project deadlines and then a much-needed, computer-free vacation have made me late to this party, but – as I gear up to return to my work-a-day routine – I just took a few minutes to savor your manifesto. It was just the thing to give my ever-present creative urge an extra jumpstart.
Everywhere I look, there is too great a focus on consuming and not enough focus on creating. I am often sucked into the trap of consuming WAY more than I create. Trying to keep up with “everything” becomes a drug that dulls our creative urge. Consuming is easier than creating. It’s less scary. And we can often justify our consumption habits (I know I do – all the time). “It’s for my work … must stay informed … important networking…”
Blah-blah-blah.
In the end, no one knows you by what you consumed. They know you by what you CREATED. That’s the only real currency you have to trade.
Thanks for the clear and passionate reminder.
Gearing up to take those steps. Now is the time.

Hi Jamie,
I certainly understand rampant project deadlines, and I’ve actually taken a bit a computer break myself this week. Feels good
Glad you enjoyed my little eBook.
“Trying to keep up with “everything” becomes a drug that dulls our creative urge.”
–So, so true and being sucked into consuming is something that’s so easy to slip into. It’s kind of a battle, really, because it’s so easy.
“In the end, no one knows you by what you consumed. They know you by what you CREATED. That’s the only real currency you have to trade.”
–Brilliantly stated! I like this and like you, will be doing less consuming and more creating.
Cheers to that and thanks for the comments!
How did I miss this when it came out?!? Great read, my friend. I’m so excited for you and all that you’ve accomplished. And the ebook is really terrific. Sage words and it’s beautifully designed too!
The message definitely hits right home with me. I was in your shoes before I launched my business. Once you take the plunge to do the scary thing you were afraid of all that time, you do realize that YOU are the only thing that’s holding you back. It’s an important realization for sure.
Well done, my friend!
Laura Click recently posted..What Are You Waiting For?
Hi Laura,
Not sure, but glad you enjoyed it! Thank you, I really do appreciate the kind words.
Taking that plunge is scary, but it sure does feel good after you make things happen, eh? Then it’s time to start over, because that train never stops, but it should be a fun ride.
Thanks for the comments and for taking the time to read the eBook. Really appreciate the support!
That is one of the best ebooks I’ve read. I loved the fact that it was short and to the point. I related totally to the fear and anxiety you talked about, as I’ve had anxiety problems for much of my life. I have also found that by writing about them, it has helped free me of some of the shame these problems bring. Sharing your voice is a very freeing thing. Can’t wait to explore your blog!
Hi Sheila,
Thank you! I really wanted to put something together that would take no longer than 15 minutes to read.
Yeah, writing is almost a meditative process, isn’t it? Just typing out your thoughts or getting them on paper does so much for your soul, intellect and spirit.
“Sharing your voice is a very freeing thing. ”
–Yes indeed!
Thanks for stopping by!
Well, I absolutely adore the premise, design, layout, branding, etc.
In a blog scene that to me, generally feels ultra-weak in the branding dept., this book crushes it.
White space = heaven.
Anyway, it opens up against comfort.
But I disagree.
I’m aguy who, since I was a child defaulted to immense progress + growth, insane vision way beyond not just my comfort zones, but humanity’s comfort zones, and anything but passiveness.
And I have lived what most people would call “a most uncomfortable life”.
And I have to tell you, I fucking guarantee I could do more for this world, with some comfort.
To me it’s about a balance of spending time in ones comfort zones, doing good works from that smooth operating comfort, and at times expanding out of it.
NOT LIVING OUTSIDE OF IT.
Comfort serves a huge purpose. As does discomfort
But… I wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t delivering fresh views on taboos, eh?
Okay, different perspectives on point #1 aside…
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.
I agree with practically every sentence.
Rock on, bro.

Hi Jason,
Thank you Sir, I really appreciate the compliments!
“White space = heaven.” Agreed
and funny, I just wrote about my love for it.
Yes, I see you as someone who continually breaks out and goes way beyond your comfort zone quite often. Plus you’re incredibly honest, that is obvious and and admirable trait.
You make some very good points and yes, it is a balance, otherwise you might wear yourself out, completely … “at times expanding out of it.” Yes, I like that.
I like being comfortable too, but feel most comfortable after I’ve done something that scares the hell out of me
You rock on too and thanks for the kind words here. So glad you enjoyed!
Well, I meant ‘em
