The A-Team that Will Help You (and Bring My New eBook to Life) Part 1

by Craig McBreen · 24 comments · Blogging, Content Marketing

thank you in letterpress typeI have a new eBook coming out and it’s all about turning prospects into customers.

I’ve assembled an A-Team of experts to give you advice.

People with the tenacity, entrepreneurial drive and creative chops to make things happen.

Big things.

They turn prospects into paying customers because they do so many things right and … offer heaps of Value.

You want them, right?

Of course you do.

So beginning today, I’ll start to highlight these successful online entrepreneurs.

True professionals.

A mix of bloggers – from enterprise level consultants to small business advisors.

A diverse group with one thing in common: The tremendous Value they offer.

But how do you attract, win and retain customers with said value?

Well, that’s what this eBook will be about:
Turning prospects into customers.

Today I would like to highlight several of these stand-out people …

Jay BaerJay Baer

When I first approached Jay I’m thinking: This guy is big time, he’s BUSY and oh, he has a new book coming out. When I contacted him Youtility was ready to drop.

To my surprise he quickly agreed and was one of the first people to send me content.

If you don’t know, he runs Convince and Convert, a social media and content marketing consultancy. He works with Fortune 500 corporations, has authored two books, and is sought out as a keynote speaker.

He also authors a top-ranked blog of the same name, hosts the Social Pros Podcast and has something we call Authority.

I could go on, but you get it. He has EXPERIENCE. When he speaks, you should listen, because he’s THAT smart.

I’m just thankful he humored little old me and is part of this book.

Thank you, Jay!

Mark-SchaeferMark Schaefer

I could go on all day about Mr. Schaefer. Like the two above, he’s busy, really busy … but he always has time for people like me.

I’ve harassed him on more than a few occasions: Emails, phone calls, tweets. I even cornered him at BlogWorld. But guess what? He took the time to offer me advice. But Schaefer advice is different, waaaaay different. He doesn’t sugarcoat things. Let’s call it constructive guidance that works – if you listen.

He runs Schaefer Marketing Solutions, and specializes in social media training, working with start-ups and big brands such as IBM, AT&T and Johnson & Johnson.

He’s a speaker, business consultant, podcaster, blogger, author, AND educator. Oh, and he is the founder of Social Slam.

… and he still has time for rubes like me.

You may have stumbled across his blog {grow} – one of the top marketing blogs of the world.

He’s an authority, but also one heck of a nice person.

Thank you, Mark!

davidrisleyDavid Risley

I’ve been following David Risley since I first heard him on BlogCastFM.

I’ve also listened to his no-nonsense podcast since its inception.

When it comes to blog marketing strategy and turning readers into life-long customers, I think of David.

If you’re an individual blogger or business owner and want to convert your blog into a marketing platform, look no further. David’s Blog Marketing Academy will show you the way.

He also runs a humble little site called PCMECH.COM with … ahem, a reach of approximately 300,000 people per month (over a million page views monthly).

I’ve been following David for a long time, so was very happy when he said he would be part of this eBook.

Thank you, David!

james-chartrandJames Chartrand

A few years ago, when I was a mere babe in the blogging woods, I discovered a brilliant little place called Men With Pens. James happens to run this amazing property.

So why is she the perfect choice for my little eBook? Check out the Men with Pens About page and let me know what you think.

She is everywhere, including a destination where everyone wants to guest post – I’ve read just about everything James has written for Copyblogger and this is one of my favorites.

She has a little announcement of her own, so you might want to stay tuned.

That Chartrand has the skills to pay the bills, and then some … and I’m so glad she said yes.

Thank you, James!

This is the first in a series of posts leading up to the launch of:  You Don’t Need Fans, You Need Customers

But it’s really just a “thank you” to the people who chose to be a part of this. They took time from their busy schedules to provide me with some tidbits of wisdom – packed into this little eBook with a focus on helping you!

That’s an awesome lineup. It looks like a great book is in the making. I have also been following David Risley from the early days of I awe most of what I know about computers to his site. His blogging tips are also top-notch.

I discovered Mark Schaefer through podcasts on Social Media Examiner and have been enjoying and following his words of wisdom.

When is the eBook coming out?

Wow. I can hardly wait to read your book. I have read Mark’s books, and I follow some of the other people you mention, but not as closely as I follow you :)

You’re doing all right…methodical, pondering, carpe diem’ing and rallying the big guns. Love the approach; congratulations.

Hi Jayme,

Slow and steady wins the race, right? ;) Actually turns out many of the big guns are very generous and quite responsive, and I can’t wait to deliver the finished product. Thanks!!

Superb website you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any forums that cover the same topics
talked about in this article? I’d really like to be a part of
online community where I can get advice from other knowledgeable individuals that share
the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Appreciate it!
